Kathmandu - Nepal officials say there is still a small possibility of survivors under the rubble, but rescuers continued to work and managed to rescue four people alive.

Three of the victims were women, one other man 101 years old. They were rescued from the debris that buried their homes during the week.

Funchu Tamang, the man, was rescued with only minor injuries in the ankle and arm. "He was taken to hospital by helicopter. His condition is stable," said Arun Kumar Singh, head of Nuwakot district - 80 kilometers northwest of Kathmandu - AFP.

Police on Sunday (3/5), also drew three women alive from their homes in Sindhupalchowk district - one of the neighborhoods hardest hit by the quake.

Until a week after the 7.9-magnitude earthquake, the death toll amounted to 7,250, and 14 thousand injured.

Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said the death toll is likely to be doubled, because many villages have not been reached. Village officials also have not given reports of fatalities, due to poor communication.

Aftershocks also does not subside, which makes the fragile houses falling every time the earth shook.

At Mount Everest, search teams from 20 countries kept track of avalanche victims during the earthquake happened. Search using heat sensors and sniffer dogs, in the hope of finding survivors from under the snow.
