Grants - A New Mexico man who had just finished watching the television series The Walking Dead reportedly beat his friend to death because he believed the victim had been turned into a zombie walking corpses alias.



Police in the small town of Grants, about 130 kilometers west of Albuquerque, USA, say, Damon Perry, 23, of Prewitt, New Mexico, was charged with murder after allegedly attacking Christopher Paquin.

Police allege Perry kicking, hitting, scratching sharp objects and other items including guitars and stove. Two friends are routinely watch episodes of popular shows of AMC, in particular following the slaughter zombie series, The Walking Dead.

Police officers were called to an apartment at the site on Thursday afternoon local time after receiving reports that one man drunk, carrying a knife was chasing another man.

When it arrived, they found the two building maintenance workers were pinning Perry's body to the ground, before finding the body Paquin. Victims are also 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

"Perry told investigators he had been drinking alcohol in large quantities when his friends began to turn into a zombie," police said in a statement, as quoted from the pages of The Guardian, October 26, 2015.

Grants Police Detective Moses Marquez, said the murder was one of the most bizarre and horrible way she ever knew. "Perry held in detention centers Cibola County with the surety of US$ 800 thousand dollars."

The pages of The Guardian said the lawyer Perry could not be reached for comment about the accusations against his client. Preliminary hearing examination of cases planned to take place on 3 November 2015. (tempo.co)
