Born on January 8, 1983, Kim Jong-un to lead North Korea after his father, Kim Jong-il, died of a heart attack on December 17, 2011.


Did you know, Kim Jong-un is the youngest head of state, although many believe was born in 1982, 1983, or 1984. Uniquely before succeeding his father, his identity is very closed even various sources say that he was using the name Pak Un during studying in government school in Switzerland from 1998 to 2000.

During his tenure as head of state of North Korea made his birthday a national holiday. He also underwent a tradition passed down from his grandfather and his father, which is distributed sweets to the children in North Korea. This tradition was carried out to describe the leader of a kind, caring for his country, and paying tribute to the young leaders.
