Did you know, that on January 1, 404 years is the last day of the fight gladiators in Rome, Italy.


Gladiator is the designation for the swordsman or armed fighters who fight for entertaining the audience during the Roman Empire. This fight itself involves the gladiators, wild animals, and prisoners. Most gladiators usually fought voluntarily for risking their lives, the rest is just as slaves marginalized social levels.

It is not known exactly when this gladiator fight begins. In hitoris experts say the fight Gladiator history began in the 3rd century BC. Gladiator itself into an expensive and lavish spectacle for the Romans.

Over time and accepted Christianity as the religion of Rome in AD 390s. Right on January 1 404, this fight became final battle for the gladiators. Gladiator fame itself is not known solely for its action, but also because of the art and ethics of the Roman battle.
