BREAKING: Police find body in search for teen rugby player Henry Burke

Police have found a body in the search for a teenage rugby player who vanished after trying to stop a fight in a nightclub two days ago. Henry Burke, 19, was kicked out of a club in Bath in the early hours of Friday morning after reportedly trying to stop an argument between two other clubbers. He text his girlfriend Emma Comley, 20, to say he loved her but was not seen since, sparking a massive police search. ‘A body has been found in the search for missing Henry Burke in Bath,’ a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said. ‘Although formal ID hasn’t been done his family has been informed.’ Urging people to join the search on Facebook, girlfriend Em Comley had written: ‘He was out clubbing in Bath last night in a club called ‘Zero Zero’ and was last heard of and seen in the club at around midnight. ‘He didn’t return home that night and he hasn’t been seen/heard from ANYBODY since. ‘His phone is dead. Police are now involved and doing everything we can. ‘It’s unlikely but if anybody knows ANYTHING then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us know ASAP. ‘I’ve never been so completely terrified and utterly desperate in my entire life.’ Before police said they had found a body in the River Avon, his girlfriend described him calling her after getting thrown out of a nightclub after apparently intervening in a fight. ‘He’s a real soppy drunk and he was saying ‘I love you so much’ and ‘I’m so happy with us’,’ she said. ‘The last message he sent me said ‘I’m p****d not going to lie. I love this baby’ and I think he meant he loved us. ‘After that my messages to him weren’t delivering. The last message I got from him was 12.04. I was getting more and more frantic. | Metro News
