YouTube adds fast forward to Android

YouTube has released a new version of its mobile application for Android, with a notable new feature: the ability to skip 10 seconds in a video by tapping twice the edge of the image . Google however is rather discreet about this novelty yet expected, but that does not seem to be the order of the day for iOS.

The function, which carries the name quick search in English, allows to navigate quickly in a video by passing ten seconds in front or back, simply tapping on the right or left edge of its screen. This is a layer that has long been available for YouTube browser, where the keys 'J' and 'L' are used as shortcuts.

This same function had already been tested, in the utmost discretion, on Android recently, before disappearing and coming back more officially. It is indeed mentioned in the notes of the latest update on the Google Play Store. However, if the application for iOS has also received an update this week, the function is indeed absent. A new version could fix this in the next few days for Apple devices. | tomsguide.fr
