The problem then who can guarantee that the hands of the presenters really have germ-free and hygienic?
"I've seen a sandwich maker who concurrently as a cashier. He opened his glove when the last customer calls and reusing the glove back to cook without washing hands first said Sidney Ross Singer, an expert medical anthropology.
Today as quoted from the article titled Hold Bacteria: Made to Order Diseas one of the blog posts Singer mentioned indeed latex gloves to prevent contamination from hands dirty.
But what happens often glove so much dirty as culinary workers do not wash their hands when wearing, or put it back after uninstalling.
This process is very different from a medical worker who repeatedly wash their hands every time activity.
"Maybe the restaurant workers think the gloves are a way to keep their hands clean and not using gloves as a way to keep the food in order to remain hygienic," said Singer.
"Any food prepared by someone using dirty gloves can potentially transmit whatever is on hand to glove then to food," said Singer.
"Regulation of the presentation of food in family medicine and food control bodies (FDA) said gloves should be used only once and before using to wash their hands first," said Londa Nwadike from the FDA.
There are several bacteria that are expected to be prevented by the use of latex gloves in the culinary presenter officer. Among these are the norovirus, hepatitis A, salmonella or E.coli
"If you eat a sandwich with dirty hands, then everything good that has been done during the preparation of food so useless," said Nwandike.
"This is a warning to the public to be aware that food security is the responsibility of everyone - consumers and the entire chain before the consumer."
