United States President Donald Trump accused of 'plagiarising' Barack Obama's inauguration cake --- The company that made Donald Trump’s inauguration ball cake has admitted it copied Obama’s one from four years ago. Buttercream Bakeshop said it was asked to re-create the one used by the previous president. The company based in Washington DC said it would donate any profits made from the cake to the Human Rights Campaign. Trump had been accused of ‘plagiarising’ Obama’s design, with his critics taking to social media after recognising it. Celebrity chef Duff Goldman, who designed Obama’s cake, was also confused and tweeted a side by side comparison of his creation and the one on display last week. But he didn’t seem too upset when he found out his design had been copied and admitted people borrowed from each other all the time in the cake world. Trump’s wife Melania was famously caught using Michelle Obama’s words in a speech during the election campaign and it seems the couple may have also fancied a bite of their cake. | Metro News
