'Batman' Killer 12 People In the US Declared Guilty

Denver - James Holmes, 27, the man who stormed the cinema where the premiere of the movie Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and shot dead 12 people there, eventually convicted. Holmes will likely be sentenced to death.



This tragic shooting incident occurred in Aurora, near downtown Denver, Colorado, USA on July 20, 2012. In the trial verdict, Thursday, July 16, 2015, all of the jury - which consisted of nine women and three pria-- decided Holmes did not experience mental disorder and should be held accountable for his actions.

"My body until the creeps. There is a feeling of relief envelop me," said Yousef Gharbi, one of the victims who had been shot in the head. "Like the others, I was relieved and finally take a deep breath. That's what I want to hear, but I could not believe it was that I had just heard."

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper praised the court's ruling and the judge's decision to give good news to the victims, families, friends, and those closest to them. "I hope this step to bring peace to them all and started the recovery of all people in Colorado," he said.

Colorado court will continue the legal process to the stage of the verdict on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Many speculate Holmes will be sentenced to death.

Holmes, a former doctoral student of neuroscience at the University of Colorado-Denver previously vowed not guilty by reason of mental disorder. But he did not deny the accusation has done the massacre. Should the judge decide Holmes not guilty by reason of mental disorder, he will sent to a mental hospital for life.
