Ashley Madison, a dating site that aims to bring together people who want to find the affair, hacked. This led to the propagated hacking the data of 37 million users. Krebs on Security reported that the perpetrators of this hacking is a person or a group called Impact Team.

So far, only a fraction of the existing data on the server Ashley Madison has been uploaded to the internet. Nevertheless, Impact Team threaten the Avid Life Media, the company behind Ashley Madison, that they will upload all data they get if Avid Life Media does not close Ashley Madison and Established Men, other dating sites they have.

Avid Life Media CEO Noel Biderman admitted hacking is indeed true. He also will immediately delete the data that has been spread on the internet.

Allegedly, the reason behind this hacking is a feature offered by Avid Life Media, called the Full Delete. As the name suggests, the function of this feature is to eliminate all data from the user if they want to stop using the site.

They only pay USD19. In 2014, Madison managed to get revenue of USD1.7 million of these features. Nevertheless, Team Impact said that the feature is simply nonsense. Although the Madison promised to delete all user data, but in fact, they still keep the data of the user.

Biderman believes that these attacks do people in. He suspected perpetrators of hacking is not a worker Madison, but technicians who had been working in the technical part of this dating site. Given Impact Team offer an apology to Mark Steele, Director of Security of Madison, apparently Biderman words indeed. (Engadget)
