San Francisco - Facebook announced that features video calling or video call in Messenger application is now available globally, with the exception of some countries because it is still in the stage of quality improvement.


End of April, Facebook has added this to the Messenger service to 18 countries, namely the UK, the US, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, and Uruguay.

For information, currently Facebook has provided a lot of additional features in the Facebook Messenger.

Although the core part of Facebook is social networking itself, Facebook still put Facebook Messenger position as one of the largest platform addition, with more than 600 million monthly active users.

It is not excessive if Facebook saw a strategic opportunity by adding video calling feature, as one additional way to boost the growth of new users and keep old Facebook users not to switch to another chat application that features a more complete.
