Nepal earthquake, 100 people estimated killed

Kathmandu - More than a hundred people were killed by an earthquake measuring 7,9 that struck all over Nepal and destabilize India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.


Minendrea Rijal, information minister of Nepal, said people pull bodies from the rubble, and rescue the wounded.

"We need the support of various international agencies," Rijal said as quoted by the BBC. "We're really in a pinch."

Of the damaged building is a historic tower Dharahara. Nepalese government estimates that many people trapped in the ruins of the tower.

Other reports mention severe damage also occurred in Kathmandu airport, and the hospital is not able to accommodate the wounded.

"This earthquake is frightening. Earth moving," said an eyewitness.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with ministers to review the situation. Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif promised to help Nepal.

This earthquake is the worst possibility for Nepal Nepal since 1934. It was completely destroyed.
