Snow Mount Everest Avalanche, Climber Stuck

Kathmandu - A strong earthquake that rocked Nepal, Saturday (25/4), triggering an avalanche on Mount Everest and the climbers trap.


Alex Gavan, climbers Romania, in his Twitter said large landslides and many climbers trapped on the mountain.

Daniel Mazur, another climber, said the Everest base camp and the team stuck badly damaged.

"Pray for everyone to be safe from landslides," Mazur wrote on his Twitter.

An earthquake measuring 7,9 magnitude struck Nepal, causing thousands of buildings collapsed and roads were destroyed. An interim report says 108 people were killed, and hundreds more injured.

In 2014, a snow avalanche on Mount Everest base camp hoard and killed 16 Nepalese guides.
