History Today | 19/01/2015: Apple Lisa, the computer fails

Did you know precisely on January 19, 1983, Apple Computer, Inc. AppleLisa released which is the first computer that has a GUI (Graphic User Interface) and a mouse.

Lisa name itself is taken from the name of Steve Jobs' daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs. Initial launch in 1983, Apple LISA priced at 9,995 dollars. Unfortunately this product less attractive to the public because LISA is not compatible with the Apple II previous product and the price is expensive.

With these problems Apple LISA eventually dismissed in 1986 for failing to penetrate the computer competition. Although unsuccessful, the product is considered to be one of the forerunner of the modern computer with modern features. FYI, last year one of the Apple LISA products valued at up to 42,000 dollars, equivalent to 508 million rupiah.
