History Today | Wassily Wassilyewich Kandinsky

Did you know that today is the birthday of the world artist, Wassily Kandinsky, in Moscow, Russia. He is one pure abstract artists in the world of modern art.


Kandinsky began dabbling in the art world when he moved to the city of Munich. In the city he joined the private school of painting is very famous in Munich, later joined the Munich Academy of Arts. However, the ability of drawing more he developed himself.

As a painter, he often painted with a conventional theme by forming theories of spiritual as well as the relationship between music and color. Kandinsky himself famous with abstract style and use of geometry, but it is different with the flow 'Impressionism' and 'Cubism' as well as the style of Pablo Picasso.

Kandinsky's works also show the influence 'pointillism' and the composition has a setting unique shapes and lines and complex. Some of his most famous work is, 'The Blue Rider', 'Composition VII', 'On White II', and 'Composition X', which in turn gives it the nickname as the father of Abstract Art.
