The Figures Nobel Laureate 2014

Of the scientist, writer, economist, as well as child rights activists won the Nobel Prize in 2014. And the 2014 Nobel Prize winner, will receive the award worth 1.1 million US dollars, in separate ceremonies held in Stockholm and Oslo on Wednesday (10/12)


Here are the winners of the 2014 Nobel each field,

1. Medicine



In this field, the American-British scientist John O'Keefe share Nobel medicine with a pair of Norway in May-Britt Moser and Edvard Moser. They received the Nobel for breakthroughs in the study of brain cells that could open up a better understanding about diseases like Alzheimer's.

2. Physics



Isamu Akasaki and Hiroshi Amano of Japan, and the Japan-born US scientist Shuji Nakamaura, won the Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery that revolutionized the world of blue LEDs for lighting homes and offices. These findings have helped the mobile phone display technology, computers, and TVs.

3. Chemistry



US researcher Eric Betzig and William Moerner and Stefan Hell of Germany won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery of the microscope with a magnification power exceeds the previously estimated could be made. This finding enables scientists to see the development of disease in the smallest cell.

4. Literature



Nobel Prize in Literature 2014 was awarded to the French writer, Patrick Modiano, for long learning about the Nazi occupation and its effects on the French.

5. Peace



Children's rights activist Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan and Kailash Satyarthi of India shared the Nobel Peace Prize to campaign for the rights of children and youth, in particular about the right to education.

6. Economy



French economist Jean Tirole received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for research on market forces and regulation. His research was judged to have helped the government to understand and regulate an industry dominated by a small number of large companies.
