11th President of India who served on the 2002 to 2007 it was known as the people's president. He also was an Indian nuclear scientist.
State Secretary PB Warjri said Kalam felt sick when she was teaching at the campus of the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong, Meghalaya State. He was then rushed to hospital but later doctors declared him dead due hopeless due to heart failure.
The Government declared National Mourning Day for seven days in honor of the former president of the Muslim, as reported by the Guardian newspaper on Tuesday (28/7).
"Kalam will be remembered as someone who is very passionate about science and innovation. People will remember his contribution as a scientist, teacher, and writer," said the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Kalam's death is a great loss for the scientific community.
"He took India to a more respectable level," said Modi.
Kalam was born in a Muslim family in the region of Tamil Nadu on October 15, 1931. As a child Kalam never sell newspapers to help support his family. He penetrated political career but not by way of hard work as a scientist in government agencies.
As a scientist, Kalam has written 17 books.
