Former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew (91) died at the Singapore General Hospital on Monday (3/23/2015) at 03:18 local time.
Lee Kuan Yew as prime minister to lead Singapore for 31 years from 1959 to resign in 1990. Close friend of former Indonesian President Suharto it retains considerable influence behind the scenes by serving as senior minister and minister mentor to resign from the cabinet after the election in 2011.
One 91-year-old figure of speech that is famous in 1988 towards the end of his post, he said, "Even when I was sick in bed, or even if I lowered into the grave, if I feel there is something wrong with Singapore, I will 'rebuild'. "
Lee's body was buried officially on Sunday, March 29, at the University Cultural Center. Funeral will not only be attended by relatives, state officials, and invitations, but also for anyone who wants to come.
