Japan Published Manga Inspired from the Quran

One of the Japanese publisher, East Press, has released the manga adaptation of the Quran with less entitled 'Manga de Dokuha: Koran' or for 'Reading Through Manga: Al-Quran'.


This news was announced via the official website of the East Press, in mid-February 2015. Series Manga de Dokuha itself known as manga publishing manga version through the works of world literature.

As quoted from the site East Press, "The Qur'an is the basis of everyday life and ideology of those who believe in the teachings of Islam. The name of Islam is often heard in the news, but because we, the Japanese people, not familiar with it , picture (Muslims) as those who abstain from certain foods or associated with terrorism continues, "



Further East Press also added, "To understand modern international society and Islam, let's try to explore the holy book."

Manga de Dokuha series was launched in 2007 and presents a manga version of the famous works of the author of 133 books of Japan and the world. Popular books of the series include the manga version of Mein Kampf works dictator Adolf Hitler and adaptation Das Kapital by Karl Marx.

Previous publisher has also launched the manga version of the Old Testament and the New Testament, two Christian bible, in 2010. Well, let's hope the manga version of the Koran does not violate the rules of Islam and help the Japanese people to know more about Muslims.
