Extend Internet Access, Facebook Prepares Drone

San Francisco - Supports Internet.org project, Facebook is ready to launch drones to provide Internet access to billions of people around the world, including remote areas.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just announced a drone named Aquila via his Facebook page. The drone emits a laser beam and the internet makes people below can access the internet.

TheNextWeb launch, the drones will be operated by Facebook Connectivity Lab team consisting of experts in communications and aerospace technology from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Ames Research Center.

Currently, Facebook still has not revealed the details, though said if the drone with a wingspan of 737 is equivalent to fly at an altitude of 60.000 feet to provide Internet access for months at a time.

Facebook reveals if the height is the lowest allowed to airspace and this zone has a stable weather conditions and low wind speed, so that the aircraft can easily save power.
