Google Stop The Spanish Language News Service

San Francisco - Google will soon stop news service in Spanish. What is?

Google plans to stop their news service Spanish speaking due to new legislation could force Google should pay 'royalties' to the media company in the country, reports the BBC.

Legislation on intellectual property rights will be enforced starting next month and Google decided not to continue the news service in Spanish on 16 December.

Google News service took excerpts from the news media and online search giant Spain is argued that the scheme pays the media company can not be implemented or maintained.

Google's news director, Richard Gingras, argued that Google does not advertise in this news service and therefore does not get revenue. He also said that media companies can choose to not be included into Google News.

"Most want to put Google News service, we encourage people to go to their website which in turn can bring in revenues from advertising," said Gingras.

The new law in Spain, commonly called 'Google Tax', does not explain in detail how 'royalty' to be paid by Google.

It has long been a variety of media companies in a number of countries do not agree with the Google News because the service is considered to violate copyright.
