Tokyo - Firefox just add to the variant cell phone portfolio with the release of the smartphone Fx0 for the Japanese market. Like what?


Unlike other devices, smartphones Firefox Fx0 is designed with a transparent body. Thus, a constituent component in it can in overlay from outside. Even Firefox OS name printed on the battery can be seen from the outside without removing the casing.

Tokujin Yoshioka, who worked as a curator at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA, and Pompidou Centre, Paris, France, touted as the people who are behind the unique design of this Fx0.

According to him, transparent body that reflects the openness, freedom, and transparency at the heart of Mozilla's mission, as the creator of Firefox.

This smartphone will be manufactured by LG and immediately equipped with a built-in LTE modem. The specifications include a 4,7 inch 720p HD screen, 400 Snapdragon processor speed 1,2 GHz, 1,5 GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory plus a microSD slot.

Fx0 also equipped with 8 megapixel main camera, 2,1 megapixel rear camera, NFC connectivity, 2370mAh battery, and runs with Firefox OS 2.0 operating system.

Citing GigaOm, Fx0 will go on sale in Japan on January 6, 2015 with a price tag of 50 thousand yen. Until now, there is still no news about the availability of this transparent smartphone in other markets outside of Japan.
