Configuration four planets seem aligned in Indonesia

Indonesian citizens can see four planets in a parallel configuration with the naked eye, on Sunday (08/11).

The configuration is clearly seen in the city of Lhokseumawe, Aceh province, at 04.30 pm.


Saiful MD, a reporter in Lhokseumawe, said he perpetuate the natural phenomena in Reservoir Pusong facing the sea. Special, according to him, the scenery can be seen without a telescope from 04.00 am until sunrise.

Four planets were aligned, as told professor of astronomy at the College of Islamic Studies State Lhokseumawe, Tengku Ismail, composed of the Moon, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter.

However, Tengku Ismail added, the configuration does not affect anything on Earth.

Rare

Separately, Moedji Raharto, as teachers Department of Astronomy at the Bandung Institute of Technology and researcher at the observatory, Lembang, said configuration of four parallel planet was relatively rare.

"Not necessarily happen once a year or even 10 years. Even if there will be other planets that parallel configuration, the composition will be different, "said Moedji the BBC Indonesia, Jerome Wirawan.

Moedji mention the configuration can be witnessed by the citizens of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke on Sunday (08/11) evening and Monday (09/11) night.

However, continued Moedji, the composition is very likely to change due to fading moon landscape.
