Police Cleveland, USA combing Delta State University professor to find the killer of his colleagues, 14 September 2015.

Cleveland - Cleveland Police, United States (US) chasing a professor of geography, Shannon Lamb, who had shot his colleague, Ethan Schmidt, a professor of history at Delta State University, in Cleveland.



Police told people to be careful, because he is armed and dangerous. Lamb is also linked to the shooting of a woman the day before.

Woman named Amy Prentiss (41) was found shot dead in his home, in Gautier, Mississippi, a few hours before Schmidt was killed.

At a press conference on Monday (14/9) evening, police said they had spoken with Lamb (45), who has been an employee of Delta State University since 2009.

Police did not mention in detail about the talks with the Lamb, but asking people to be very careful if they see it. He was allegedly driving a Dodge Charger.

"Prof Schmidt, who specializes in the science of Native American and colonial history, was shot in his office, in Hall Jobe Delta State University," police said.

Shortly after the shooting, all campus buildings and then locked from the inside, and campus officials advise students to remain in place, while the police are looking for the perpetrators.

One student, Freshman Noah Joyner (18), said he had lived in the bathroom dormitory during a locked building.

"A lot of people banging on the door, because I wanted to get in. The atmosphere is quite tense," he said.

Meanwhile, a police helicopter circled the campus and hundreds of officers swept the building. Until this news was revealed, the search is conducted.
