CD sales fell by about a third in the United States

Music CD sales in the US fell to 31.5% in the first half of 2015, based on data from the music industry.



Only 41 million CDs were sold between January and June, down from 56.6 million in the same period the previous year.

CD sales decline was partly due to the music channel service internet or music streaming, growing 23% with a value of US $ 1.03 billion, or around Rp18 trillion.

Services Internet music channel now accounts for one third of the total revenue the music industry, which actually fell by about 0.5 to US $ 3.17 billion.
