This is 'The Notebook' version of the Real World

If the moving story of the movie 'The Notebook' is present in the real world, it might look like the story of the couple will be grandparents this one.

After a foster home for 75 years, recently pair Alexander (95) and Jeanette (96) Toczko eventually died in the arms of one another. "Wait for me, I will soon be there," said Jeanette when Alexander first breathed her last. He was then followed her husband in less than one day.


Alexander and Jeanette have been in a relationship since they were eight years old and married in 1940. Not long after Alexander bedridden because of a hip fracture a few weeks ago, Jeanette joined health condition deteriorated. Local nursing home was eventually providing beds for both to keep them side by side.

"Nurses there stated that saw both last exhale together is the most extraordinary thing," said the daughter of Alexander and Jeanette, Aimee Toczko-Cushman. Aimee also has documented the last embrace of both parents were to be distributed together with four brothers and his 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren they have left.
