AirAsia Victim Identity Has Been Identified

Entering the ninth day of the search operation and evacuation of victims of the crash AirAsia QZ8501 (5/1), Tim Disaster Victims Identification (DVI) new Indonesian Police can confirm the identity of the nine bodies.


Basarnas first discovered three bodies on Tuesday (30/12) last week. Since then, the search began to show a bright spot and more fruitful. It was proved by the discovery of a total of 34 bodies so far.

Furthermore, DVI own team still trying to match a variety of data ante mortem from a family with primary and secondary data on the victim's body had been found. Primary data in question here is the DNA, fingerprints, hair, and teeth composition. Meanwhile, secondary data on the victim's body could be clothing, accessories, and identity cards.

The following are the names of nine victims who have successfully confirmed its identity as reported by various media:

1. Hayati Lutfiah Hamid: 40 years, women, residents of Sidoarjo.
2. The Meiji Thejakusuma: 44 years old, from Kupang Indah, Surabaya.
3. Kevin Alexander Soetjipto: 20 years old, male, from Malang.
4. Hendra Gunawan Syawal: 23 years old, male, from Surabaya.
5. Grayson Herbert Linaksita: 11 years old, male, resident of Lebak Indah Mas, Surabaya.
6. Jie Stevie Gunawan: 10 years old, female, resident of Surabaya.
7. Juanita Limantara: 30 years old, female, resident of Surabaya.
8. Khairunisa Haidar Fauzi: 22 years, women, people of Palembang, stewardess.
9. Wismoyo Ari Pambudi: 24 years old, male, resident of Klaten, steward.
