128 Victims AirAsia QZ8501 Still in Search

Until the eighth day of the search operation and evacuation of victims of the crash AirAsia QZ8501 (4/1), in total there are 128 victims who have not been found.


So far, the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) have found 34 bodies in Karimata Strait, the waters near Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan. "I confirm, for the bodies of the 34 bodies found," said Chief Marshal TNI Basarnas FH Bambang Soelistyo in Basarnas office, Jakarta, Sunday (4/1).

Soelistyo adding that the entire bodies have been sent to Surabaya to be identified by the Disaster Victim Identification Team, led by the East Java Police DVI. Of the 34 bodies, only nine bodies were identified. Meanwhile, until last night 21 bodies still in the process of identification in the Post antemortem, Hospitals Surabaya and four other bodies had just arrived from Pangkalan Bun.
