Scientists: 2/3 of cancer cases occur randomly

Scientists at Johns Hopkins University found that nearly two thirds of cancer cases are caused by errors in the copying of DNA during cell division and do not depend on the lifestyle or heredity.

According to the study, 66% of cancer mutations occur randomly, and they can not in any way affect, Science reports.

The possibility to be ill in some type of cancer due to errors during cell division varies, but the fact that such a possibility remains unchanged. Thus, prostate cancer or bone caused by random mutations in 95% of cases, and pancreatic cancers - 77%, even 18% are environment and five percent - heredity. Lung cancer is caused by external factors in 65% of cases, random mutations - 35%. Heredity plays no role.

The probability of developing cancer depends on the environment and way of life by 29% and by a further five per cent - from inherited genes. Still, with the help of preventive almost 40% of cases the disease can be prevented.

Previously, "Pravda.Ru" reported that Russia established drug of all cancers . But his test required 100 million rubles. The drug may be a revolutionary in terms of treating all types of cancers, including the most advanced stages, experts say.

Medicine created thanks to synthesize protein - the so-called heat shock protein. It was he who protects the body's cells from damage, but also enhances the anti-tumor immune response.

In the development of the drug used technology that helped clone the cells a gene that is responsible for the "release" of vital protein.

Cure cancer patient will be easier, if you enter a person in "hibernation" and reduce his body temperature. It found the Italian scientists from the Institute of Trento.

Experts explain this by saying that in such a condition in a patient are slowed down many functions of the body, giving more time to the study and treatment of tumors. It will also provide a better effect of irradiation, because the human tissue will be inactive.

In the future, scientists want to immerse the person in "hibernation", similar to the one in which the animal fall, and when he wakes up, it will already be well. The experiments so far carried out only on rats.
