With his wife Melania on his arm in a sparkling gown, the president elect was seen leaving Blair House in Washington DC after a quick change. They were followed into a waiting motorcade by the rest of the family and began the short drive to Union Station where some of his closest advisers and high-profile supporters were gathered. It came hot off the heels of a rousing speech at Lincoln Memorial where the president-elect vowed to make America 'greater than ever'. Today's inauguration ceremony will begin at 2.30pm UK time. President-elect Trump will start the day by attending a morning church service before making his way to the Capitol to be sworn in. He will then give his inaugural address which he claims to have written weeks ago at his 'Winter White House', his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach.
