A European expatriate family in Thailand were surprised when their neighbours came knocking on their door at 8am yesterday (Jan 17), warning them that they had an unwanted visitor in their yard -- a massive 5-metre long python. The incident reportedly happened at the expatriate’s apartment, a stone throw away from the BTS Chong Nonsi Station in Bangkok, reports Coconuts Bangkok. The family immediately dialed '999' and rescue workers promptly found the gigantic reptile tucked away in the family’s mango tree, where they then carefully captured and lowered it into a bag. The workers also theorised that the snake may have made a meal out of a cat, judging from the bulge on the snake’s stomach. | Stomp
