CCTV shows horrifying moment mother was left paralysed by BMW driver who mounted pavement

'What type of person could run someone over and leave them for dead?' CCTV shows horrifying moment mother was left paralysed by BMW driver who mounted pavement *** Chanelle Higgins, 30, is now in a wheelchair after being knocked down by a dark grey BMW 3 series that drove along the pavement close to Scandals Night Club, on Norwood High Street in south London. She was carried along the road on its bonnet before being thrown to the ground and left for dead at around 4.40am on May 29. Police have released CCTV footage of the hit and run as they appeal for witnesses to catch the driver, who is still at large. 'Fit and bubbly' Miss Higgins spent five months of 'hell' in hospital, lost the use of her legs and cannot care for her children on her own anymore. Speaking for the first time today she said: 'What type of person could run someone over and leave them for dead? What kind of evil person could do that? I just can't believe that the person is just living their life while I'm going through hell'. | DailyMail
