Shadu Petosky said he felt insulted after his body was searched for 40 minutes at the Orlando International Airport.
He experienced the examination to look for explosives after passing through full-body scanners specifically for women.
Petosky, who is a writer, then decided to make the report directly on Twitter related to poor experience.
He said he was taken to an interview room and explained to officers of Transport Security (Transportation Security Administration, TSA) that she is a transgender, and that "(which appears as an anomaly) it is my penis."
On Twitter, Petosky displaying his illustrations were made related to this incident (Petosky)
According to him, he felt humiliated, and did not want his genitals examined by a woman.
When finally released, he had missed the plane and had to buy another ticket.
TSA responded to the complaint by stating, "TSA treat any kind of violation of civil rights seriously. We will investigate the issue in to obtain further clarity."
Airport officials said, Petosky could avoid a repeat of the incident later in the day by asking for a private scan.
