Bicycles and camels are also included prohibited passing in the street.
Earlier this month, the horses and donkeys are prohibited in an attempt to cripple the group Boko Haram, which often use the animals to invade the villages.
A spokesman for the Nigerian army, Colonel Tukur Ismail Gusua, said the traffic ban in Borno is intended to ensure the safety when people celebrate Eid al-Adha on Thursday and Friday.
Boko Haram often carry out attacks in Borno state and the Northeast region of Nigeria, which had their 'master'.
