Eli Lilly presented follow-up data from two large trials of experimental drugs, solanezumab, on Wednesday at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Washington.
While previous experiments which also included moderate cases not effective, when Lilly analyzing results for mild patients, solanezumab led to a significant 34 percent slowdown in mental decline, and deceleration 18 per cent loss of functional ability as compared to placebo. (CNN)
