Maranello - engine technology from various automotive manufacturers in the world are now beginning to shift to a more environmentally friendly engine. As a replacement turbo, super car was already are implementing hybrid technology.
The Italian super car manufacturer, Ferrari is also rumored to be applying hybrid technology in some of its lineup. Turbocharging technology will be replaced with hybrid technology.
As reported by Autocar, Sunday (29/03/2015), owned a Ferrari V12 engine will be paired with a turbocharged in the future. Ferrari will use electricity to help power the addition of lower emissions.
"There will be no turbo on our V12. But we see the system (electricity) 48 volts on the next generation," said a source at Ferrari, who remain anonymous.
That means, the future of Ferrari V12 engine will use hybrid technology. By doing so, technology pioneered by Ferrari LaFerrari will resume again in a few models that will be developed in the future Ferrari.
This step will allow Ferrari to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions. However, the engine power remains unreliable in the presence of electric power.
