Rescue team found 'four large object' AirAsia QZ8501

SAR teams are combing the island of Java to look for debris AirAsia QZ8501 have found the "four large object", according to the head of Basarnas.

Basarnas head Bambang Soelistyo said water robot has been lowered to take a picture of this large object. Meanwhile, Professor Edvin Aldrian BMKG officials said bad weather is the 'biggest factor' behind the fall pesawt.

AirAsia QZ8501 lost contact Sunday (28/12) and with 162 passengers and crew while en route from Surabaya to Singapore. So far 30 bodies have been found. The main part of the Airbus A320 was not found.

Most of the victim's body was found trapped in the fuselage. Bambang Soelistyo said Saturday (03/01) that the large object discovered via sonar on Navy ships.

"Until this moment, through the vessel Geo Survey, we find a total of four major parts of the plane that we were looking for," he said.

'Bad weather biggest factor'

"We found large oil spill and objects at 23:40 last night (Friday). I believe this is part of AirAsia aircraft lost," he said.

He said the larger part is the depth of the sea but the fast currents cause the underwater search operation difficult.

"All four of these objects is entirely in the search priority areas that we espouse in two days," he said.

"When I talk, we lower the ROV (Remotely operated underwater vehicle) to take photos of detected objects on the seabed. All at a depth of 30 meters."

Previously, Basarnas announced the discovery of two large objects. Initial analyzes BMKG mention the weather conditions when the plane lost contact with the air show flight number QZ8501 was flying during the storm.

"The data shows the location of the last aircraft, the weather is very bad and it is the biggest factor in a plane crash," said Professor Edvin Aldrian, head of research BMKG.

Four victims have been identified so far are: Hayati Lutfiah Hamid, Grayson Linaksita Herbert, Kevin Alexander Soetjipto and Khairunisa Haidar Fauzi. Two other bodies have also been identified but further details have not been announced.
