Scary 'frowning' jellyfish washed up on a Scottish beach sparks comparisons to Predator and the Ood from Doctor Who *** It’s already been compared to Predator, the Ood from Doctor Who and Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean. But this 'frowning' jellyfish found on a shore is very much a real creature, despite looking like a creepy monster. The scary being was swept to the shore of the Firth of the Clyde at the coastal village of Dunure, South Ayrshire. It has been described as ‘an instant nightmare’ on social media thanks to its long tentacles and distant stare. It was spotted by Jamie Glenday from Newmilns, East Ayrshire, more than two years ago in August 2014. But the picture taken by the nature photographer has recently resurfaced on social media and gone viral. Mr Glenday said: ‘To me, the jellyfish looks a lot like Predator because of the way its mouth is sitting.' He added that people should take care in the area 'as you'll often see a wash of thousands of jellyfish swept up’. | Daily Mail Online
