This TV drama series inspired by the award-winning documentary film by Dr. Ryan McGarry.
After producing Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy, ABC Studios back producing TV drama series about the world of medical, Code Black. The series is the story about the situation in the Emergency Room (ER) which is inspired by a documentary film of the same name filmed Dr. Ryan McGarry who also acted as producer. Creator and producer Code Black, Michael Seitzman, claimed to be interested to create this series since I first watched the documentary.
"I watched a documentary filmed Ryan in June 2014 and I have never seen anything like it. It is a show I wanted to do and I'm not sure I know about it. I want to make the event GCC medical smelled and I wanted very kinetic, muscular, lots of action and emotion in it. This documentary has everything that I want to put in the TV show, "said Michael Seitzman, as reported Philipstar.
In the documentary there are also urgent things he had never seen before in the medical films. "Different types of medical cases, health problems and those who need them and how doctors struggle to maintain their professionalism to all the problems that occur," he added.
Code Black tells the story of high flows in and out of the patient in the emergency room that sometimes makes many hospital workers confusion. In fact, to make the series feels more real, Seitzman and McGarry involve medical workers and nurses who handle medical trauma to become a supporting player of the series.
In addition, the series also involves a lot of medical experts to ensure the credibility of the story. In fact, the actors in the series follows a Code Black booth camp, where they are faced with a difficult surgical procedure in real time and using real equipment.
Code Black starring actress Oscar winner, Marcia Gay Harden, who serves as the director of the hospital, Dr. Leanne Rorish. He was the main surgeon who perform operations with high risk at Center Stage (special area of critically ill patients in the emergency room).
In addition, the series also starring Luis Guzman (Jesse Salander), Raza Jaffrey (Dr. Neal Hudson), William Allen Young (Dr. Rollie Guthrie), Benjamin Hollingsworth, Bonnie Somerville, Melanie Chandra and Harry Ford.
