Women's World Cup | Japan rid England through an own goal in the final minutes

Edmonton - Japan qualified for the Women's World Cup finals after beating England 2-1. Ironically for England, winner of Japan was born an own goal by their players, Laura Bassett, in the final minutes.


With the victory, Japan will meet the United States in the final which will be held in Vancouver, July 5, 2015 local time. It was a repeat of the final in 2011, where Japan when it's 3-1 win over the US on penalties.

Japan had a chance to defend their title and became the second team after Germany who can do it. As for the US, this is a chance to avenge the defeat of four years ago and won the last time they get in 1999.
