North Carolina: A man was seriously injured after being attacked by a shark in the waters of North Carolina, USA, on Wednesday (01/07/2015).
Men 68 years old can still attack survivors swam to shore while he "suffered several bite wounds in the ribs, hips, legs and hands," said the representative of authority Hyde County.
The incident occurred at noon on Ocracoke Island. Sharks attack humans is estimated to have a body length of up to two meters.
The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital. "The news (assault) spread so quickly and everyone out of the water when I discovered it," said a resident of North Carolina, Lynette Holman, told NBC.
In the past month, there have been seven shark attacks in North Carolina, including a young woman who partially torn hand the beast. A boy was also attacked in separate incidents shark.
