American Idol singing competition is the pioneer of a very famous in the world. Created by producer Simon Fuller and is produced by Fremantle Media, the show was first aired in 2002.
After 13 years of American Idol debuted and became a prestigious competition, as the Fox television channel broadcasting the event decided to end it after the 15th season of the year. In a statement Monday (11/05) yesterday, Fox states that the 15 this season will be a "season-long celebratory event".
This is because the rating of American Idol continued to decline since the last few years after many event-similar event held competitors. In the statement, Fox also ensure that the current three judges, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. still will be a judge on American Idol last season. This also applies to the host, Ryan Seacrest faithful since the first season of this show.
After the official announcement from Fox, Ryan Seacrest express his gratitude to American Idol because it has become a big part of his life. "The truth is hard for me to imagine life without it (American Idol). I'm very lucky to be a part of the history of this television world. This is a show that embodies the dream of many people, including my dreams."
American Idol itself has spawned many talented singers such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, and many more. In addition, the event was also adapted many countries, one of which is Indonesia with Indonesian Idol.
