Dubai - one of the richest cities in the United Arab Emirates - will be the first city to employ the robots as security forces. Police robots is scheduled to begin operation in 2017.
Colonel Khalid Nasser Alrazooq told a security conference in Dubai, "The robot will interact directly with people and tourists. There is an interactive screen and microphone on the robot is connected to a call center Dubai Police. People will be able to ask questions and make complaints, and have fun interacting with the robot. "

He also hoped that the Al-driven - the name for these robots - will be fully operational throughout the main streets of Dubai within four to five years.
