Microsoft recently held a Windows 10 Devices Event. In the event, Microsoft introduced a variety of the latest devices that use Windows 10.

Although there are some devices that had leaked long before the event took place, Microsoft managed to surprise the world with the release of the first laptops called Microsoft Surface Book. The laptop is a direct competitor to the MacBook Pro. Microsoft even claimed two times faster than the MacBook Pro.

Book Microsoft Surface has a 13.5-inch screen with a pixel density of 267 ppi. Microsoft's first laptop equipped with a keyboard that is claimed to be better than other laptop keyboard. In addition to comfortable and stable, the keyboard is also very quiet when used for typing. It was equipped with two USB ports and an SD Card reader.

Book an Intel powered Surface 6th generation or Skylake and supported NVIDIA GeForce graphics chip that has been equipped with GDDR5 VRAM. With these specifications, Microsoft said, this laptop can be used to play games.

They even had time to show the video recording Surface Book is being used to play the game Gears of War. Microsoft claims, Book Surface battery can last up to 12 hours of usage.

That makes it unique is the screen can be removed from the keyboard, so the Surface Book can be turned into a tablet like the Surface Pro 4, only with a wider screen. Because it can be a tablet, Surface Book also has a touch screen and is equipped with a Surface Pen.

Interestingly, NVIDIA graphics chip located on the keyboard. Fortunately, Surface Book can also be positioned with the state of the keyboard folded backward, so NVIDIA GPUs can still be used when in tablet mode.

Just like the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft Surface Book will also be released in October and will be priced at USD1,499.
