Microsoft announces Surface Book, Surface Pro 4, Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 950, Lumia 550, Band 2, and HoloLens Development Edition



Microsoft carpet event takes place already some time ago. Through the event Microsoft announced era powered device a new platform from Microsoft. Windows 10-based devices are manifold smartphone, smartwatch, laptop, tablet, up to virtual reality devices. The announcement of the presence of the various devices are also posted by Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President in charge of Microsoft Windows and Devices Group.



The first hardware products announced is the Surface Book, a laptop with a touch screen that can be removed. The screen size of 13.5 inches with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 PixelSense. In it installed Skylake Intel processors with Nvidia GeForce GPU and GDDR5 memory and SSD. Microsoft claims that the Surface Book is a 13-inch laptop is the fastest in the entire planet, and two times more powerful than the MacBook Pro 13-inch.

Surface Book has a backlit keyboard and glass trackpad with multitouch 5 points. There are also two USB 3.0 ports and an SD card slot, plus a battery that can last 12 hours. Book Surface will be sold starting price of 1499 dollars depending on configuration. Preorder can be done and the laptop will begin shipping on October 26 next.

Surface Pro 4 tablet announced as a replacement for a laptop that is thinner, lighter, and faster. The screen size of 12.3 inches with Intel Skylake. Microsoft claims that the Surface Pro 4 50% faster than the MacBook Air. Surface Pro 4 will be priced starting at 899 dollars and is available from 26 October.

There are 3 pieces of the new smartphone was announced that the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, and Lumia 550, Lumia 950 and 950 XL is the latest flagship that combines Windows 10 with a top class hardware. While the Lumia 550 is a Windows smartphone that offers the lowest 10 4G LTE connection.


Lumia 950 has a 5.2 inch touch screen, while the Lumia 950 XL 5.7-inch sail. Both are equipped with ROM 32GB RAM 3GB. There's also a USB port-C with a microSD slot and support for Qi wireless refill and 4K HDMI connection. Lumia 950 is powered by octa-core processor while the Lumia 950 XL wear hexa-core processors. Both are also equipped with 20 MP PureView camera with 3 LED flash and 5 megapixel camera selfie.

Both smartphones use the OS Windows 10 with the integration of Cortana, Office, Skype, and Continuum. USB connector-C combined with Microsoft Display Dock, will allow the screen Lumia transferred to a PC monitor so that the two flagship will act as a PC. Lumia users can still use the phone as though being connected in Continuum mode.


While the Lumia 550 will fill the lower market segment with a 5-inch screen, supported RAM 1GB and ROM 8GB. There is also a 5 megapixel camera on the back, selfie 2 megapixel camera on the front as well as 1905 mAh battery.

Lumia 950 will be available starting in November at a price of 549 dollars, while the Lumia 550 will be priced at 139 dollars.

Microsoft Band 2 was announced as a smartwatch that help users healthier and more productive. Smartwatch both Microsoft comes curved screen, barometer, and applications for email, sms, running, cycling, fitness, and golf.

Microsoft also announced HoloLens Development Edition. Realitiy virtual device is designed to help Windows developers to mix hologram into space, and will be available in the first quarter of 2016 at a price of 3,000 dollars.

Terry Myerson also announced a new update on the Xbox One for Windows 10. He also announced that Microsoft partners will also soon announce products Windows 10 they like Acer, ASUS, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, and etc.
