Western Digital has released a 10 TB hard drive


The company Western Digital has increased the lineup of its hard drives WD Purple and has released HDD with the name WD100PURZ and the volume of 10 terabytes.


Features

WD Purple WD100PURZ as well as other hard drives of this series are made for round-the-clock video surveillance systems. The novelty works at a temperature from 0 to 65 degrees, has received the expanded cache-memory for 256 megabytes, has got support of technology AllFrame 4K, spends 6.2 W in a mode of work with the data and 5 W in silent mode. The hard disk was filled with helium, and its plates rotated at a speed of 5400 rpm. The WD100PURZ uses a SATA 6 Gb / s interface, and the noise level does not exceed 29 dBA.

WD Purple WD100PURZ will be released in the near future at a price of $ 400.
