Nintendo Switch: Disconnecting Joy-Con, Striped Screen, Nintendo Explains First Problems

The Nintendo Switch is very successful in France. The hybrid concept, unique in its kind, is welcomed with open arms by players from all over the world and more particularly in France. Nevertheless, the last play of Big N knows its first problems. Some users noted that the screen was scratched when inserted into the dock. Others pointed out disconnections from Joy-Con. For the first time, Nintendo explains these first problems.

Nintendo Switch: some problems for the first models

The Nintendo Switch can make a cardboard in terms of sales , the console knows anyway some problems for its launch. Nothing dramatic, but the perennial bugs and manufacturing defects that are encountered in many high-tech products. The technology is fragile, and it is not uncommon to see defects on the first series of models sold, whether it is smartphone, tablets, PCs, consoles or any other high product technology.

The Nintendo Switch has not escaped the phenomenon and their major problems have been raised by the users. A first on the console screen that would scratch when the user inserts it into the dock to switch to console mode lounge.

The second problem, certainly the most publicized, concerns the Joy-Con of the Nintendo Switch. The joystick disconnects in an untimely manner which would have a rather annoying effect during game sessions. During our test of the Nintendo Switch , we ourselves observed the Joy-Con problem when we connected to the base joystick allowing us to Play in console mode. But the problem quickly disappeared.

Nintendo Switch: Big N Explains

Faced with the polemic, Nintendo was until now silent. Asked by Time magazine , Nintendo America president Reggie son-Aimé ended up expressing himself on the problems identified by the players. Concerning the disconnections of the left Joy-Con, the president of Nintendo America explained that Big N was aware of this file and that he listened to the players. The brand says to do case by case and ask several questions to the players to properly determine the source of the problem. Still on the Joy-Con, a Nintendo spokesperson said:

The number is not important and matches what we saw for any product we launched.

Regarding the screen problem that is scratched, again Reggie Fils-Aimé says investigate about it. It states that the teams have never encountered this problem during the development of the console. Again, to find out more, Nintendo questions the players who have met this worry of scratched screen.

Finally, the president of Nintendo America mentioned the possibility of launching a Type-C / HDMI USB cable in order to be able to connect the Switch to a TV screen without needing dock. A request from some users who do not want to get bogged down the dock if they want to take their console for a few days and be able to enjoy it on another screen than theirs. But it will not be Nintendo who will be maneuvering. Indeed, Reggie Fils-Aimé explained that it was certain that many accessories would certainly propose such an accessory.
