British and American geophysicists have come to the conclusion that by the middle of the XXI century in the world happen collapse of the electrical systems, according to the University of Reading, citing a study in the journal Scientific Reports.

Experts predict a decline in solar activity to a minimum by 2050. This phenomenon is similar to the Maunder Minimum - a period of long-term reduction of solar activity, especially the number of spots on the star.

According to scientists, the reduction in solar activity will reduce by one third the volume of the heliosphere - the region around the world, which is dominated by the magnetic field of the star. This will lead to the penetration depth of the solar system high-energy charged particles that can cause a collapse of the Earth energy systems. Also, the Earth will be vulnerable to cosmic radiation, which leads to cancer.

Auroras may be observed only at very high latitudes, due to the alleged weakening of the solar wind. In particular, the radiance will no longer be visible from the UK. | m24
