Liverpool hazardous waste plant fire can be seen from 15 miles away


Blaze at hazardous waste plant sends toxic smoke into the sky above Liverpool *** Emergency services were called to a fire at a hazardous waste plant in Prescot, Merseyside, early today. The plumes could be seen as far as 15 miles away. Up to 80 fire fighters were called to the scene. Residents were told to close windows, as the plant dealt with materials that contained mercury, pesticides and acids. | Daily Mail
