'This was clearly not reasonable force': Clubbers complain that they were attacked by a group of BOUNCERS as they post footage online of the massive street brawl *** Chaos erupted in the streets of Middlesbrough as clubbers and bouncers were filmed laying into each other in a mass brawl The incident, which occurred outside The Middlesbrough Empire, happened just before 1am on Saturday morning. In the footage, several doormen can be seen repeatedly hitting one man on the street. The video was posted onto Facebook, where it has been viewed nearly 200,000 times. The post also mentioned a 31-year-old male from Middlesbrough, who asked not to be named, is the person being attacked in the footage. The man was left with bruises and lumps to his head, as well as bite marks to his ear and a cut to his elbow. According to an eyewitness, who also asked not to be named, the incident started when one of the doormen 'spat' at a member of the group and they began to fight. The eyewitness says the incident has been reported to police. A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: 'We received a call at 2:18am on Saturday (3 December) about an incident outside The Middlesbrough Empire on Corporation Road. 'Unfortunately, the individual ended the call before providing further information. We would of course look into any new information that comes forward.'
